Post-Tech: Bring Back the Practical, the Feasible, and the Doable [reaction #4]

Are we really going to build “self-expanding cities” on the Moon? Are we going to build universities on Mars? These fantasies are ambition sinks. They serve to give young (White) men a black hole to dunk their energy into, for they might otherwise be fighting Islam in Europe. Space travel has become a pathology. It will never happen.

We need to bring back ideas that are doable, feasible, realistic, practical, and achievable, such as building housing for young couples in Europe. Or think of building a New Holy Roman Empire using horses and carts. But please forget about nonsense sci-fi that you see in Star Wars or Avatar. None of that will (likely) ever happen.
